It’s useful to hold onto phosphor slimes or largos, and for containment of slimes who can wreak havoc on your ranch. The only ones I made a coop for were the painted henhens, in a separate area, as they had a special prerequisite to making chickadoos (they couldn’t be around 400 henhens is all I’m going to say). After I found out that they didn’t need coops to make more henhens, this was just the easiest solution to keep a constant supply of henhens for my meat-eating slimes. In my experience, the tangle slimes have gotten out of the coral, so I feel like keeping them in the Overgrowth was my best choice, considering how I use the area.įor a huge, completely unnecessary amount of henhens, I just throw them all into the Overgrowth, with no coops to hold them. I was afraid of the tangles becoming tarrs while I was out, so I wanted to keep them isolated from other slimes to prevent this from happening. I keep the tangles in this area as I use it for food resources. Personally, I use the Overgrowth area to hold my tangle slimes, most of my henhens, and some of my veggie and fruit supplies. Screenshots taken by me in Slime Rancher! I feel like this is the best choice to start with since it gives you some food resources by default. The first expansion I unlocked was The Overgrowth. While you’re absolutely free to get the extensions in any order you’d like, I wanted to share what order I got the extensions in and why, in case anyone wanted some help or opinions on picking out the order. As of October 6 of 2017, there are 4 expansions you can get for your ranch.
